NDADA is delighted to announce the launch of an exciting new venture – an online outlet for our preloved fashion shop, Re:Love.

Many charities have charity shops. But not many – especially not a small, local, domestic abuse charity – have a designer dress agency. Since the opening of our bricks-and-mortar shop in Barnstaple in 2018, Re:Love has worked on the basis of clients selling their high-quality preloved items of clothing through the shop, with proceeds shared between themselves and the charity. Central to the shop’s principles are that it supports people (proceeds go towards housing families and single women at NDADA’s Devon refuge) and the planet (by being part of the circular fashion movement).

While the shop was forced to close in the pandemic, the team turned their energy to a new project – to take the fashion arm of our charity online. And, this month, our vision became reality as our preloved feel-good fashion website launched. It will trade under the same basis as the shop – raising funds for both NDADA and sellers. You can visit the shop here to browse high-quality designer and vintage pieces.

“We’re delighted to announce the launch of the Re:Love website,” said NDADA’s CEO Sue Wallis. “It feels like a natural progression for the Re:Love shop, and we hope it will mean the beautiful items that are hand-selected and curated by our very own fashionista Alessia will reach a whole new audience.

“Since we rely heavily on donations, we’re always looking for innovative ways to fund the vital service of housing families and single women in our refuge in Devon (the last one remaining in the whole of the county). We also provide therapy, counselling and support sessions to those who have experienced domestic abuse. We hope the Re:Love website will provide an enjoyable shopping experience for customers knowing their purchases will help families move on to a life free from abuse.”
